Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

This 2nd shift Quality Inspector role involves performing thorough inspections across all stages of production, including first and last piece inspections and line checks. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in inspection or production, focusing on completing quality checks. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and proficiency in using various measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and plug/thread gages, is essential. Experience in quality inspection from a metals or plastic background is required, with CMM knowledge preferred but not mandatory. The ability to occasionally move up to 50 lbs is necessary.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct inspections across all stages of production, including first and last piece inspections and line checks.

+ Perform quality checks with precision and accuracy.

+ Read and interpret blueprints effectively.

+ Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and plug/thread gages.

+ Ensure adherence to quality standards from metals or plastic background.

+ Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

+ Inspection of parts knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ CNC Mill or Lathe operation

Work Environment

The role operates during the 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, with a start time of 3:30pm if working extended hours. The work environment is climate-controlled, well-lit, and organized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.50/hr.
