Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8 years of experience in program management.
+ 5 years of experience in leadership role with/without direct reports.
Preferred qualifications:
+ 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
+ Experience in product management, software engineering, hardware engineering, and computer hardware.
+ Ability to identify organizational needs, establish priorities, work separately, drive results through informal authority, serve as a trusted consultant to key business partners, and represent users and customers.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
The team's mission is to drive smart manufacturing, empowering Google to produce high-quality hardware for users. The team collaborates with partners across Supplier Development Engineering, TechEng, Product Quality, Reliability, Reverse Logistics, Factory Test, Design for Manufacturing, and more. The team delivers solutions for Google's hardware products, operating with a startup mentality to iterate on products, gather feedback, and release valuable features. In this role, you will oversee aspects of the Program Portfolio within the Manufacturing Software Systems team. You will also manage, mentor, and coach a team of Technical Program Managers to ensure career growth and impact of the team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications.
+ Establish a reliable cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources) whereby improvements such as efficiency and utilization gains are measurable.
+ Lead a governance structure that drives executive decision-making, and ensure governance structure exposes and mitigates dependencies.
+ Identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and which affect multiple teams, and apply governance over change management.
+ Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that focus on high business impact for the organization and product area.
