    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

    + 2 years of experience in program or project management.

    + Experience in product development, product design, engineering or product operations.

    + Experience leading product sustainability related to materials, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.

    Preferred qualifications:

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

     

    As a Product Sustainability Program Manager, you will lead efforts to integrate sustainability into our products through deep collaboration across many teams including industrial design, product design, operations, product marketing, global supply chain management, compliance, and others. You will utilize your technical knowledge, leadership and influencing skills to establish, track, and substantiate sustainability related product requirements throughout the engineering life-cycle for new product development.

     

    In this role, you will be in a critical role that requires a combination of excellent program management skills, a strength in prioritizing among competing needs, adaptable, flexible, and an excellent executor. You are also an exceptional communicator who builds strong relationships and collaborates naturally across functions. You are an agile and creative problem solver who gets complex things done and drives organization-wide impact.

     

    The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

     

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Ensure the delivery of product sustainability requirements into new product development programs throughout the engineering and product life-cycle.

    + Own and drive the product sustainability claims process for product launches by establishing, tracking and collecting substantiation for all product sustainability claims.

    + Develop, drive, and track schedules and deliverables across multiple new product development programs. Identify gaps/risks and propose solutions.

    + Define and address undefined cross-functional challenges independently using excellent program management skills and methods to monitor and manage programs and stakeholders.

    + Develop and maintain excellent relationships at all levels that lead to strong deliverables across key cross-functional partners including product engineering, industrial design, operations, marketing, supply chain, compliance, reliability, safety and others. Collect, analyze, and interpret data in order implement new product sustainability features and track product sustainability progress across multiple programs with competing deadlines.
