• Alarm Technician

    TEKsystems (Reno, NV)


    Job Description

    We are seeking a motivated technician to install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures at customer sites in compliance with the National Electric Code, as well as company and customer standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Install and configure complex integrated security systems, including wiring, equipment, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital/network recorders, and intercom systems.

    + Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/system programs, schematics, and product manuals.

    + Work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong self-motivation to complete tasks efficiently.

    + Maintain effective communication, both verbal and written, and foster strong working relationships.

    + Plan, organize, and prioritize tasks with attention to detail.

    + Analyze technical information to support installation and troubleshooting efforts.

    Technical Knowledge:

    + Proficient in using computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

    + Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems, media storage, and alarm systems.

    + Understanding of IP-addressable security devices and advanced TCP/IP networking.

    + Experience with both digital and analog camera systems.

    + Knowledge of burglar and fire alarm systems.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
