Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Commercial Advanced Analytics to join our Advanced Analytics team within the Global Analytics and Commercial Operations (GACO) organization. This position will be accountable for developing and delivering data-driven insights to support product strategy, planning, and execution, with a primary focus on DLBCL and Rare Malignancies. This role will collaborate closely across key business partners including Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Integrated Insights, Finance, and Business Operations, as well as our external collaboration partner, to build deep analytical capabilities and proactively identify opportunities to enhance Commercial effectiveness. This individual will play a critical role in optimizing commercial performance of our inline assets, driving strategic execution, and maximizing the impact of our products in the market. This opportunity is based at Kite’s HQ in Santa Monica, CA or Foster City, CA with 3 days per week onsite required and reports to the Sr. Director, US Advanced Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the analysis and synthesis of complex information, opportunity identification, and development of actionable conclusions and recommendations.
+ Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics, providing actionable insights to inform commercial strategies and tactics.
+ Develop first-hand knowledge of Commercial data sets (claims, DDD, Rx, CMS, EMR/EHR, specialty distributor data etc.) and act as a subject matter expert to navigate emerging business needs and the evolving data landscape.
+ Demonstrate strong programming experience in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages, with the ability to independently develop, test, and implement data programs within Databricks.
+ Ability to independently conduct various statistical analysis like K-means clustering, multivariate regression analysis, correlation analysis, decision tree, random forest to predict and assess customer behavior in the disease treatment journey (HCPs, patients, etc.).
+ Conduct hypothesis-driven investigations into detailed physician-level, patient-level and transactional-level data, to gain business insights from various customer perspectives (HCPs, patients, payers).
+ Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and sales initiatives, and provide recommendations for optimizing marketing spend and resource allocation to maximize ROI.
+ Support decision making for Kite’s inline assets by leading analytics in areas such as segmentation (HCP, Payer, Patient), targeting, market landscape tracking, omnichannel analytics, and measurement.
+ Lead the establishment of data and advanced analytics capabilities for the LBCL and Rare Malignancy disease area.
+ Manage story development and presentation of analytical solutions to ensure stakeholder buy-in.
+ Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics, providing actionable insights to inform commercial strategies and tactics.
+ Collaborate closely with other insights and analytics colleagues to bring an integrated approach to actionable insights.
+ Manage day-to-day relationships and advanced analytics projects with sales and marketing leadership, brand teams, and other commercial stakeholders, acting as an internal consultant to develop strategies that uncover business opportunities and actionable insights.
+ Collaborate and influence both internally and externally with vendors to coordinate cross-functional analytics projects, ensuring advanced analytics is integrated into front-line thinking.
+ Assist in budget management, drive project prioritization, and oversee project management to ensure efficient and effective execution.
+ Conduct ad-hoc advanced analytics to inform leadership on key business questions.
Basic Qualifications:
+ MS/MA with 6+ years of experience OR
+ BS/BA with 8+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Graduate degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, etc.) or MBA with a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
+ 6+ years of experience with advanced data modeling and business intelligence techniques.
+ 6+ years of pharmaceutical or life sciences experience.
+ Prior experience in oncology, hematology, and/or rare disease commercial or market access advanced analytics/data science required.
+ Ability to influence and drive analytical projects end-to-end through collaboration. This role requires a high degree of collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Market Access.
+ Strong programming experience in Python, R, or a similar language (ability to independently develop, test, and implement data programs) in Databricks.
+ Ability to independently conduct various statistical analysis like K-means clustering, multivariate regression analysis, correlation analysis, decision tree, random forest to predict and assess customer behavior in the disease treatment journey (HCPs, patients, etc.).
+ Possess a strong working knowledge of advanced analytical tools and approaches, a strong customer orientation and focus, and the ability to thrive in a transformational environment.
+ Strong understanding of database structures, data wrangling, cleansing, and manipulation.
+ Significant experience conducting analysis with large healthcare data sets (claims, EMR/EHR, DDD, CMS, Rx, etc.).
+ High level of initiative, ability to multi-task, and passion for asking and answering questions in large datasets.

The salary range for this position is:
Other US Locations: $169,320.00 - $219,120.00.
Bay Area: $169,320.00 - $219,120.00.
Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
