    Reporting to the Associate Director of Admission, the Assistant Director of Admission is responsible for identifying and recruiting prospective students within an assigned territory to support the University’s enrollment objectives. The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, and highly organized, with a collaborative spirit and a strong commitment to achieving both individual recruitment goals and the broader goals of the Enrollment Division.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the University’s academic programs, student life, and institutional policies to provide accurate, up-to-date information to prospective students, families, and high school counselors.

    + Represent the University at college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events within an assigned territory, with significant travel required.

    + Build and sustain strong relationships with high school counselors to promote the University as a competitive option for their students.

    + Engage in consistent communication with prospective students throughout the recruitment cycle, including follow-up outreach as directed by Enrollment Division leadership.

    + Accurately document and track prospective student interactions and application progress using the University’s CRM and admissions systems.

    + Analyze and report on recruitment progress and performance within the assigned territory.

    + Conduct admissions interviews and coordinate individualized campus visits for prospective students and their families.

    + Review and evaluate applications from the assigned territory and provide admissions recommendations.

    + Conduct regular phone outreach, averaging 100–200 calls per week, to engage prospective students.

    + Complete and process 85–90% of applications in the assigned region.

    + Annually research and develop a targeted list of high schools within the assigned territory based on geodemographic data, historical performance, and institutional enrollment goals; continuously refine strategy throughout the cycle.

    + Assist in the planning and execution of on-campus recruitment events, including information sessions, open houses, and accepted student events.

    + Support University-wide initiatives and participate in broader campus events as needed.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree required.

    + Valid driver’s license in good standing.

    + Ability to travel seasonally and work evenings and occasional weekends.

    + 1–3 years of experience in an admission or advancement/development office preferred.

    + Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written).

    + High attention to detail with strong follow-up and time management skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

    + Familiarity with admissions systems such as Slate, Ellucian Banner, and Argos is desirable.

    + Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.

    + Demonstrated interest in higher education and student recruitment.

    + Ability to thrive in a flexible, goal-driven environment that values creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
