We are currently hiring a Software Engineer for the GA-EMS Radar Technologies Directorate. In this capacity, the Software Engineer will be responsible for developing Radar application software targeted for a Linux environment. The Software Engineer will report to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering within the Radar Technologies Directorate. This is a hybrid role that requires an in-office presence based on project needs, including lab integration and in-person collaboration meetings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
+ Design and implement new software applications using C++ and Python.
+ Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications
+ Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, repeatable software delivery.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and requirements.
+ Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and performance problems.
+ Participate in design and code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline and two or more years progressive software development experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education
+ Proficiency in C++ or a comparable language (e.g., Rust, Go, C).
+ Solid understanding of object-oriented design and system-level programming.
+ Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
+ Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Experience building, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Docker or similar technologies.
+ Web based user interface experience
+ Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
+ Knowledge of networking, IPC, or hardware-software integration.
+ Experience with real-time application development
+ Exposure to unit testing frameworks and agile methodologies.
+ Experience using AI to assist with software development tasks
+ Active Secret Clearance
