Position Description:
Performs support and coordinative work in direct support of an administrative team of a specific administrative office or department. Coordinates and assists with functions such as planning, researching, budgeting and program implementation and evaluation. Performs responsible and complex office support duties, thus relieving the administrator of these duties. Work is performed under administrative supervision.

Major/Essential Functions:
As the Administrative Coordinator, every day you will:
+ Serve as the first point of contact for Human Resources, responding to phone and in-person inquiries with professionalism and care
+ Handle confidential and non-routine information, referring to others as appropriate
+ Provide departmental support with general and specialized information requiring well-informed decision making, sensitivity, and professionalism
+ Provide administrative support to departmental staff, to include ordering supplies, making travel arrangements, reconciling procurement card statements, answering in-coming phone calls, and preparing various documents
+ Assist with data entry tasks for the Employee Services Center, including verifying previous and current employment

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
Ability to work independently and also on teams as assigned
Ability to manage challenging or high-pressure situations with professional and discretion
Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple interruptions
Ability to organize, coordinate, and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to write professional correspondence such as memos, emails, and letters
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and general office equipment, including a personal computer
Bilingual in Spanish/English
