The FreshBlooms Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional service to assigned account customers while driving sales growth and supporting company policies and procedures. This role focuses on expanding existing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to the success of the FreshBlooms product lines, including flowers, supplies, and botanicals. The typical hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8am – 4:30pm. Additional days/hours may be required due to holidays, special events or special shows.

Essential Functions:

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts by providing outstanding customer service and promoting the full range of FreshBlooms products.

+ Grow sales within designated DSD and Corporate Mass Market accounts by identifying regional and national program opportunities.

+ Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, account growth targets, and margin objectives.

+ Create and deliver effective sales presentations tailored to customer needs, including in-person meetings, store or corporate visits, phone outreach, email communications, and product sampling.

+ Collaborate with product development and purchasing teams to influence product offerings that meet both customer expectations and company objectives.

+ Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach.

+ Participate in customer events and trade shows to promote FreshBlooms and enhance brand visibility.

+ Coordinate with internal departments—including Operations, Distribution, and Accounts Receivable—to ensure smooth product flow and support sales activities.

+ Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, including concerns related to credits, logistics, and service.

+ Provide backup support for team members during absences, including managing inbound calls and data entry tasks.

+ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

+ Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no Supervisory responsibility.Work Environment:

This position operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. At times, this position may require a visit to the warehouse and cooler environment (34 degrees).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Positions in this job family typically work in an office setting but may be assigned more physical duties such as transporting office supplies and equipment, and bending and stooping to file. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

This position may require travel to trade shows, farms, suppliers or customers.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

+ Must have knowledge of floral products, product availability, and design.

+ Experience with sales.

+ Experience with conducting business in an ethical and professional manner.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which requires managing within deadlines.

+ Proficient in Apprise, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

+ Strong organizational abilities and ability to prioritize workload.

+ Self-motivated team player with flexible can-do attitude who is willing and excited to learn.

+ Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

+ Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in a positive manner.
