DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Identify and source relevant data on prospective business credit borrowers and applicants. Conduct analysis of borrowers, their demographics, and risk and profit performance with the firm's products. Generate strategic recommendations for strategy development based on quantitative analytics and business intuition. Strategize to maximize profitability while minimizing risk. Develop and maintain periodic reporting and analytics on key metrics to provide management with emerging trends including volumes, approval and automation rates, and quality of originated accounts. Develop testing plans and forecast expectations to ensure strategy design will successfully deliver intended impacts. Conduct pre- and post-implementation testing and analysis to ensure strategic changes produce expected impacts. Contribute to the team's audit- ready state by keeping organized documentation, following established control processes, and developing draft responses to internal audit and regulatory questions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Statistics, Accounting, Quantitative Research, Computer Science, or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Business Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Market Research Analyst, Statistical Programmer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Accounting, Quantitative Research, Computer Science, or related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Business Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Market Research Analyst, Statistical Programmer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Using quantitative analytics to assess business problems and develop solutions to optimize revenue and risk trade-offs; communicating solutions to key stakeholders using data visualization; SQL and SAS programming tools for data extraction; managing business change projects within the development, implementation, and monitoring phases including at least one of the following: New product launches, new feature roll-out, software deployment, or strategy deployment; transforming raw data into a usable format by handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies to ensure accuracy and reliability in strategic analysis; Microsoft Excel, including the use of formula and pivot table functionality for data manipulation and analysis; evaluating the impact and success of strategic initiatives through key performance metrics, feedback, and ongoing analytical monitoring to ensure objectives are met; assessing how proposed changes will impact various aspects of the organization and developing strategies to manage these impacts effectively; aligning organizational goals to data-driven strategy development plans; data visualization including creating tables, graphs, and flow charts to communicate complex insights and support strategic decisions; using quantitative analysis techniques which includes, data sourcing, summarization, distribution counts, mix analysis, and principal component analysis to analyze business outcomes and develop strategy to optimize those outcomes.
