DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop and manage key portfolio risk strategies to manage High Risk Accounts as well as manage Exposure across the card base. Organize, interpret, and summarize data sets from multiple sources to develop insights driving best-in-class risk strategies. Conduct advanced analytics including segmentation and clustering to recognize opportunities and enhancements to existing strategies to improve overall risk and financial performance while balancing customer experience, and execution quality. Design, implement, track, and report on new strategies in a Test vs. Control environment. Ensure recommendations taken to Senior Management result in correct decisions. Present tracking, results, and analyses to executive management and other stakeholders. Work with cross functional partners including Execution, IT, Marketing, Lending, and Finance groups to ensure successful implementation of new strategies and/or enhancements in existing strategies. Help spearhead best in class documentation surrounding card portfolio exposure management strategies. Coordinate with Governance to ensure all required Controls processes are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Management Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Finance, or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Data Analyst, Research Associate, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Management Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Finance, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Data Analyst, Research Associate, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: SQL; Python; R; SAS; pulling data from data warehouse and summarizing it to make it ready for analysis; data science and quantitative analytical tools including Decision tree, Clustering, and segmentation analysis; analyze business data and derive insights from it; application of statistics to solve business questions and improve business results; profit & loss drivers of a business to structure analytical framework to analyze and create actionable insights; business results tracking and reporting; translating technical details into business-related language; and documentation of the work.
