As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, Neovest, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
The Technical Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This position requires a proactive leader to drive QA automation and oversee performance, load, and system testing for both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a strong dedication to delivering high-quality software solutions
Key Responsibilities:
+ Establish and communicate clear guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
+ Foster a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, prioritizing diverse representation within the team.
+ Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.
+ Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and processes for both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks.
+ Drive the automation of QA processes, including test case development, execution, and reporting.
+ Conduct performance, load, and system testing to ensure the scalability and reliability of our software products.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
+ Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality and performance.
+ Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in QA and testing methodologies.
+ Integrate QA automation into an automated build and deployment process.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
+ Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience, including coaching and mentoring.
+ Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with expertise in technology disciplines.
+ Proven experience as a QA Manager or similar role in a FinTech or capital markets environment.
+ Strong technical expertise in both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks.
+ Hands-on experience with QA automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, NUnit).
+ Experience with performance, load, and system testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
+ Excellent leadership and team management skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Effective communication and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
+ Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Preferred Skills:
+ Practical cloud-native experience.
+ Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
+ Experience working at code level
