The Department of Cancer Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of protein biochemistry, cell culture techniques, molecular biology, metabolism, and animal models of cancer. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
Responsibilities may include investigating the chromatin associated factors in cancer.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to further develop critical insights into the mechanisms of genomic instability in the context of prostate cancer, familiarize with related literatures and experimental techniques, help with manuscript and grant preparation, present research findings, mentor junior scientists, and participate in career trainings offered by the University.
Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years postdoctoral experience
