Job Summary
The Broker Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with insurance brokers, ensuring they are equipped to successfully promote and sell Geisinger Health Plan products. This role focuses on broker engagement, training, sales support, and strategic planning to drive new business growth and retention in the marketplace.
Job Duties
+ Develop and nurture relationships with brokers and agencies, ensuring alignment with Geisinger Health Plan’s goals.
+ Act as a liaison between brokers and Health Plan sales representatives, providing guidance and support to enhance their effectiveness in selling health plan products.
+ Conduct regular broker meetings and check-ins to review performance, address challenges, and identify opportunities for growth.
+ Foster a strong sales culture by providing brokers with ongoing education, tools, and marketing strategies.
+ Implement strategies to increase broker-driven sales and market share, ensuring Geisinger remains competitive.
+ Collaborate with brokers to identify new business opportunities and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
+ Develop growth targets and work with brokers to achieve or exceed sales quotas.
+ Monitor market trends and broker performance, adjusting strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
+ Initiate and lead broker recruitment activities to expand the broker network.
+ Deliver training sessions on Geisinger Health Plan products, underwriting guidelines, and compliance requirements.
+ Ensure brokers understand key value propositions and can effectively communicate them to prospective clients.
+ Provide sales coaching and support, helping brokers refine their approach to maximize success.
+ Track and analyze broker performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
+ Prepare and present monthly sales and market reports to assess trends, broker contributions, and areas for improvement.
+ Provide leadership with strategic recommendations based on broker feedback and competitive insights.
+ Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, underwriting, and sales and client service, to ensure seamless broker support.
+ Partner with leadership to refine broker engagement strategies and optimize network performance.
+ Support the implementation of new initiatives to strengthen broker relationships and expand Geisinger’s presence in the market.
+ Conduct yearly reviews of broker commission programs to assess their effectiveness and make strategic adjustments. Make recommendations regarding the commission structure as needed to align with market conditions and business objectives.
+ Deliver training sessions on the use of the broker portal, ensuring brokers can efficiently access resources and tools, provide ongoing support and updates regarding portal functionalities and enhancements, and monitor portal usage and feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
