Hamilton College is seeking a talented, dynamic, and compassionate individual to foster and deliver outstanding Audio Visual (AV) support for the College. You will manage a talented team of dedicated AV professionals in the planning and day-to-day operational support of the College. If you are a critical thinker capable of delivering current AV solutions while creatively and proactively developing next-generation AV systems for the future, and you conduct your day-to-day activities with enthusiasm, compassion, and a positive attitude, we should talk.
The position provides courteous and timely support to the Hamilton community, covering a wide range of AV design needs and solving technical issues. You will oversee and maintain the technology systems in over 200 spaces on campus, including classrooms, labs, seminar rooms, conference rooms, studios, performance spaces, and athletic venues. The position is also responsible for successful event support for a variety of campus and visiting performers and groups, and includes major events such as Commencement, Reunions, Fallcoming, Great Names, and more. The position is part of the Infrastructure Technology group under the merged Library and Information Technology Services (LITS) division.
This is an exempt position with a pay range of $90,000 - $105,000.
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years’ experience or equivalent education and experience.
+ Project management experience in large scale audio/visual and technology integrations in an academic environment.
+ Supervisory experience preferred
+ Audio Visual certifications through InfoComm such as CTS, CTS-D or other AV certifications highly preferred.
+ Potential need to work off/flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends to support AV events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ A critical thinker capable of delivering current AV solutions, while creatively and proactively developing next-generation AV systems for the future.
+ Knowledge and experience with a wide range of computer based and traditional audiovisual technologies.
+ Excellent decision making, organizational, interpersonal, writing and presentation skills.
+ Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines.
+ Enthusiasm, compassion, and a positive attitude for working within a dynamic environment, with the goal of providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within the Hamilton community and LITS.
