    Immunization Section

    Your Specific Responsibilities:

    This is a highly professional position in the Department of Health, Bureau of Immunization in Tallahassee, under the supervision of the Operations Manager C • SES. The individual in this position is responsible for operational management coordination related to the success of Bureau of Immunization initiatives. This individual provides consultation and technical assistance to districts, and county health departments (CHDs). Central office staff and community health centers, and private providers. coalitions. and other community groups related to the achievement of The Bureau of Immunization goals. This position acts as the Bureau's Security Coordinator.

    GRANT MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS

    Provide fiscal and budget consultative services to program supervisors regarding grant expenditures. Provides oversight and monitors the surplus/deficit reports, grant expenditure/projections reports and cash analyses. Reviews, interprets and makes recommendations to the financial manager and program supervisors.

    EVALUATION AND MONITORING

    Participates in data collection and performs analyses to determine the appropriateness of activities supported by immunization grant funding to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Monitors monthly all charges to the immunization grant to determine appropriateness and timeliness of expenditures by various headquarters, districts, CHDs, and community health centers, and other offices receiving program funding and provides technical assistance to correct errors and deficiencies. Utilizes data from the immunization section, district offices, CHDs, state accounting systems, etc., to prepare reports, grant applications, and general correspondence related to progress on meeting immunization section goals.

    BUDGET ACTION REVIEWS

    Reviews and is familiar with the contents or the respective statutes, administrative code, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures relating to Departmental budgets and expenditures. Reviews and provides input on legislative budget requests, County Health Department Schedule C’s, on-going budget amendments, grant applications, contracts, carryover and supplemental funding requests.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
