JOB SUMMARY
This role is at the heart of shaping our members' initial experience, creating their first impression of Highmark. As a Senior Functional Product Analyst, you'll be instrumental in driving the analytical aspects of our member onboarding product lifecycle. You'll collaborate closely with customers and stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and translate these insights into a compelling vision for a remarkable onboarding journey. You'll be empowered to develop robust business cases, conduct thorough cost analysis, and strategically evolve our onboarding roadmap to make a measurable impact on member satisfaction and retention. From identifying pain points through data analysis to translating complex business needs into detailed business requirements, you'll champion continuous improvement in our onboarding processes. You'll also play a critical role in proactively governing the delivery of high-quality onboarding solutions, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for every new member. By staying on top of market trends and translating them into strategic platform recommendations, you'll help us deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience that sets the stage for long-term member relationships.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Partner with and provide strategic counsel to Customers, Business Stakeholder, Vendors, Designers, IT Delivery Partners, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions. Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, business requirements, customer personas, stakeholder and / or journey maps, product capability roadmaps, product KPIs/metrics, and implementation / delivery plans.
+ Participate in the full product management delivery life cycle by actively participating with business and IT delivery teams, leveraging an advanced knowledge of modern product management delivery practices and methodologies, such as Agile / Scrum, Kanban, etc. to manage product requirements, delivery plans, business product backlog & prioritization, testing, prototyping, and defining customer/user acceptance criteria.
+ Lead various aspects of business analysis, business requirements definition and documentation, business user testing, business requirement traceability, and full product capability delivery (e.g., user acceptance testing plans, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production defects are realized and completing analysis of the results tying back to customer impacts.
+ Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management, including assisting with or leading business and product requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews, reporting project / delivery status, supporting and governing delivery of in-house and vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation.
+ Actively participate and contribute tosprint plans and reviews to ensure product capability development aligns with customer needs and defined business objectives.
+ Ensure compliance for required standards and all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the product management and delivery project lifecycle.
+ Provide guidance to junior resources within team and share best practices, as appropriate.
EDUCATION
Required
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
Substitutions
+ 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Preferred
+ Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
EXPERIENCE
Required
+ 5 years in a Business Analysis and/or Analyst role
Preferred
+ 3 years in Lean/Six Sigma and/or Process Improvement
+ 3 years in the Health Insurance Industry
+ 3 years in the Healthcare Industry
+ 1 year supporting product management and/or capability delivery

Pay Range Minimum:
$67,500.00
Pay Range Maximum:
$126,000.00
_Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets._
