    **📅 Schedule:** Thursday to Sunday | 7:00 AM – 3:00/4:00 PM

    **💵 Pay:** $26.00 – $28.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

    Alaska Waste, a **Waste Connections company** , is looking for a **safety-focused, hard-working CDL Driver** to join our seasonal team in **Fairbanks** . If you’re ready to put your driving skills to work, earn solid pay, and enjoy working outdoors — this job is for you.

     

    • **What You’ll Be Doing**

     

    You’ll be behind the wheel of a garbage truck, serving neighborhoods and businesses throughout Fairbanks. You’ll:

     

    + Safely drive a commercial truck on assigned local routes

    + Pick up solid waste, recycling, or yard debris

    + Read route sheets and follow dispatch instructions

    + Load and unload materials (with or without a helper)

    + Perform pre/post trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment)

    + Provide excellent customer service during every stop

    • **What You’ll Need**

    + **Valid Class B CDL** with air brake endorsement (required)

    + **Clean driving record**

    + At least **1 year of professional driving experience**

    + Able to lift/move items over 50 lbs — this is a physically active job

    + High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    + Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

    + Exposure to **wet, cold, or humid outdoor conditions**

    + Physical, hands-on work (climbing, lifting, bending, pushing)

    + Moderate noise from equipment

    + Following **strict safety protocols** is a must
