We realize being an Underground RC/Percussive Driller can be a tough and physically demanding position; however we’re looking for people who are willing to work hard and not afraid of being underground._

_Our drilling services are the global industry leaders in the application of rotary, core, sonic and percussive drilling. Our global teams of underground drillers are skilled, knowledgeable, safety-focused and committed to our customers and our business. If you like single-handedly commanding a Boart Longyear drilling rig, this position is for you._

_Job Responsibilities_

_· Supervise employees in accordance with Boart Longyear safety policies and procedures_

_· Train and coach driller trainees_

_· Prepare daily reports of all drilling activities. Some examples of these reports are: reflect footage drilled, time spent performing other activities besides drilling, timekeeping for payroll purposes and reporting supplies consumed_

_· Perform and document daily pre-shift inspections_

_· Perform and document maintenance and repairs on company equipment and vehicles_

_· Participate in weekly safety and daily line out meetings._

_· Excellent in communicating with clients and supervisor and be able to work positively with others_

_· Must have a complete knowledge of mechanics as related to drill rigs, diesel, hydraulics, electrical_

_· Ability to personally handle heavy wrenches, lift and/or carry heavy tools or supplies and operate levers with both hands_

_Qualifications:_

_• Willing to travel by plane or car to worksites throughout Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and Virginia and other states where we do business._

_• Able to commute long distances for work (300+ miles)_

_• Willing to work in remote locations_

_• Willing to work at job sites for extended periods of time_

_• Able to work 12 hour shifts for 5-20 days at a time_
