Job Description:

The VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) product enables organizations around the world to run their business critical and modern applications in a secure, resilient, and cost-efficient manner. Support for modern automation is key for the success of Private Cloud. We are looking for an experienced senior manager to drive the evolution of the automation infrastructure for the VCF product. This includes some of the most commonly used technologies for automation, like SDKs, API runtimes, Data retrieval, Notification mechanisms, CLIs as well as other critical parts of the VCF product platform.

Responsibilities:

• Define and align the strategy for the automation infrastructure and adjacent areas

• Produce plans and drive large projects across multiple organizations and functions

• Oversee and direct the work of a geographically distributed team with first line managers in alignment with the company goals and strategic objectives

• Drive leadership development and performance management initiatives

• Ensure high productivity, while also keeping smooth operations and a positive work environment

• Guide the organization through transitions and ensure successful implementation of new strategies

Requirements:

• University education in IT; Bachelor and 15+ years related experience OR Masters and 13 years OR PhD and 10 years

• Minimum of 15 years of overall experience, of which a minimum of 5+ years of management experience in similar roles

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

• Outcome-oriented attitude and focus on delivering results

• Strong business acumen

• Knowledge for industry trends and best practices

• Deep technical experience

• Experience and understanding of how large organizations operate

• Embrace and promote a culture of collaboration towards common goals

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $260,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
