Gas Plumber

We are looking for a **Gas Plumber** inJoplin, MO. Plumbers are responsible for safely installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes of utility construction projects. As a plumber, you will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure company procedures are followed.

Essential Duties

+ Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures

+ Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies

+ Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems

+ Follow building plans and blueprints

+ Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates

+ Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used

+ Collaborate with other construction professionals

+ Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required

+ Other related duties and projects as assigned

Key Qualifications

+ 3-5 years field experience or Military equivalent

+ Experience working in construction is a plus

+ Valid driver’s license

+ Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade

+ Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper

+ Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices

+ Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings

+ Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements

+ Able to work effectively in a team environment

+ Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

+ Independent worker with a strong work ethic.

+ The physical activity for this role includes:

+ Travel as needed, might work extended hours

+ Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods

+ Walking on uneven ground

+ Manual dexterity for use of small hand and power tools

+ Repetitive motions like squatting, kneeling, reaching and lifting

+ Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 80lbs.

+ Working outside in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather

+ Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
