    Position Summary:

    The Postdoctoral Associate is an integral part of the Brain Connectivity Lab. With programming experience, this position will lead an NIH funded research study focusing on functional and structural connectivity, and the impact on clinical populations including AD and ASD. The role proposes to map functional connectivity in adolescent, young and older adults.

    Essential Functions:

    -Analyzes large datasets, writes manuscripts, helps in grant writing, and mentors students.

     

    -Assists in writing research papers.

     

    -Carries out data extraction, data cleaning, and other tasks assigned.

     

    -Any additional responsibilities as required by management.

    Prerequisite Qualifications:

    -PhD in biomedical engineering, medical physics, psychology, neuroscience or related fields required.

     

    -3-5 years of experience with data recording and analysis.

     

    -Programming experience in MATLAB, python and familiarity with existing MRI analysis packages is required.

     

    -Experience with DTI analysis.

     

    -At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    -Strong presentations skills.

     

    -Excellent research skills and ability to interpret findings and trends.

    Salary Information:

    In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated starting annual salary range for this position is $61,008.00(USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
