Facilities Maintenance Specialist - Farmingdale, NY (Onsite)

We have an incredible opportunity for a **Facilities Maintenance Specialist** to join ICON’s Central Laboratory team in Farmingdale, NY. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing upkeep and functionality of our physical spaces by carrying out routine and preventative maintenance services and minor repairs of building, fixtures, and systems in accordance with established procedures.

**Location:** Onsite, Farmingdale NY, USA

**Hours** : Full-Time, 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday

What you will be doing:

+ Conducting routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards

+ Performing maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure as necessary

+ Coordinating with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and repairs

+ Managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment to ensure availability and readiness

+ Documenting maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections

+ Respond to facility maintenance requests received through Facilities Online, ensuring timely response and resolution of issues in compliance with department metrics

+ Perform duties outside of regular contract cleaning service hours (i.e.: cleanup after leak and spillages, plumbing issues, and any other onsite related housekeeping activities)

+ Manage waste disposal services including general waste, recycling, and any other waste destruction in accordance with established procedures

Your profile:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Certification or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred

+ Basic computer skills

+ Experience in facilities maintenance preferred

+ Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems preferred

+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively and efficiently

Salary range: $42,600.00-$53,250.00
