    Job Description

    This position provides technical support within the Homeownership Division, primarily centered on the evaluation, validation, and processing of program reservations within the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) loan framework. Responsibilities encompass interpreting and applying state and federal regulatory guidelines governing MSHDA loan transactions, offering informed assistance to Michigan residents seeking housing resources, and maintaining operational continuity within the division.

    Key technical functions include:

    • Data Management & System Oversight: Administering data tracking and analysis through division-specific software systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Workflow Coordination & Process Optimization: Distributing workload among analysts, refining procedural workflows, and implementing process enhancements for reservation and transaction handling.

    • Regulatory Guidance & Compliance Assurance: Providing lender partners with interpretive guidance on operational protocols, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and programmatic policies.

    • Data Compilation & Accuracy Monitoring: Aggregating and scrutinizing lender-provided datasets to maintain precision in reporting, optimize transaction integrity, and facilitate informed decision-making.

    • Survey Administration & Program Assessment: Managing the development, distribution, and analysis of Homebuyer Surveys and specialty assessments to drive service enhancements, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic programmatic objectives.

    • Financial Documentation Processing: Executing secure handling of final loan documents for purchased loans, ensuring compliance with financial processing standards.

    • Stakeholder Engagement & Service Delivery: Delivering ongoing customer service and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders, including borrowers, real estate professionals, counseling agencies, lending institutions, and MSHDA personnel.

     

    Due to the nature of this role, which includes handling and verifying original overnight documents and financial instruments, physical presence at the Lansing office is required Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Remote or hybrid scheduling accommodations are not available.
