    Our Sr Field Fleet Specialist shall assist with administration of vehicle operation programs by collecting and analyzing statistical and fiscal data on USDOT, IRP, IFTA, and UCR compliance while providing support and guidance to Field Fleet and Asset personnel. This position bridges operational coordination with strategic oversight, ensuring daily operations are followed while contributing to training initiatives and accident prevention programs. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of DOT regulations; proficient in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software with emphasis on Microsoft Office; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with mentoring capabilities for junior staff.

    In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

    + the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing

    + the ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness

    + excellent manual dexterity

    + the ability to organize workload to determine priority of duties and manage multiple projects simultaneously

    + the ability to communicate with Company personnel, vendors, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed

    + the ability to provide guidance and training support to junior staff members

    + the ability to identify areas for process improvement and increased training emphasis

    Responsibilities:

    + Complete and oversee completion of tasks for assigned department/project while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance

    + Collect, interpret, and analyze statistical and fiscal data related to DOT compliance, identifying trends and areas for improvement

    + Provide guidance, mentorship, and training support to junior Fleet Coordinators and field personnel

    + Develop and refine processes to ensure efficient completion of tasks in support of assigned areas or projects

    + Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers to facilitate project success and resolve issues

    + Schedule and determine priority of tasks for assigned department/project with strategic perspective

     

    As required by Illinois regulation, the pay range for this position if performed in Illinois is $23-$27 per hour.

    Qualifications

    + Associate's Degree in a related field or 3-4 years of related fleet management or transportation experience

    + Previous experience in mentoring, training, or leading junior staff members preferred

    + Good working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements

    + Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft Office, Google, etc.)

    + Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written

    + Authorized to work in the United States

    + Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
