Job Description
High Lakes Health Care, of Praxis Health, is seeking aMedical Office Support Supervisor with outstanding customer service skills, for a full time position. We are looking for a candidate with a collaborative, team spirit and a willingness to support the needs of our patients as well as the goals of the job and the team.
TheMedical Office Support Supervisoris responsible for oversight and performance of a variety of clerical duties for the medical office support team.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, may participate in supervision of medical office support staff, including front office and scheduling team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
+ Collaborates with the Clinic Manager on development, implementation and training related to clinic goals, policies, procedures, mission, and work standards.
+ Responsible for being subject matter expert for department in the following areas:
+ Greets, screens, schedules, and inputs correct date into Intergy
+ Performs clerical duties related to clinical service.
+ Prepares and processes correspondence. Answers routine medical administrative inquires and drafts letter for physicians and other clinical staff.
+ Performs medical receptionist duties as necessary. Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
+ Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information and provides support services to patients and medical staff
+ Requests, locates, sends and receives patient records.
+ Maintains medical appointment schedule for patients.
+ Monitors internal communications including but not limited to task, emails, newsletters and voice mails.
+ Maintains files and assists establishing office systems.
+ Assists in the care and maintenance of office equipment.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
+ Minimum two years of experience in a medical office setting.

General Physical Requirements
Physical Demands:
Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and patients.
