• Probationary Elementary School Counselor

    The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Elementary School Counselor. The successful candidate will need to:

     

    + Ensure that students perform their best academically, socially and emotionally;

    + Help elementary-age students navigate unique educational, social, and behavioral obstacles;

    + Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance effectiveness in supporting students;

    + Consult with professional staff, outside agencies and other organizations;

    + Work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders to plan and implement multi-tiered systems of support;

    + Work proactively with teachers to deliver a research-based social -emotional curriculum into the classroom setting;

    + Monitor student academic performance, behavior, and attendance as well as facilitate appropriate interventions.

    Job Qualifications

    + Completion of NYS Registered Program – School Counselor

    + Institutional Recommendation – School Counselor

    + Workshop – Dignity For All Students Act

    + Fingerprint Clearance
