    Position Overview:

    The Casting Process Engineer is responsible for process improvement projects to drive substantial reductions in quality failures across all casting-related activities, including model development, CAD, mold development, waxing, investment, and casting. Evaluate, refine, and optimize the new product development process and existing manufacturing processes, introducing new technology and processes where necessary. Provide manufacturing process expertise and direction on projects requiring advanced technological analysis in the development/qualification/launch of new products to ensure cost-effective manufacturability at TCO quality levels. Contribute to the New Product Development group by providing advanced technical analysis regarding process designs for manufacturability and assembly, creating Process Flow Charts, and performing SOP development and Work Instruction development from New Product inception through launch and full production. Provide sustaining Manufacturing support as needed to resolve day-to-day production issues to ensure continuous product workflow and product completion/delivery. Greater than 80% of the Casting Process Engineers' workday should be spent on the manufacturing production floor.

    Responsibilities:

    + Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor/manager. Adhere to all safety requirements. Provide safety leadership among co-workers.

    + Contribute to the New Product Development group by providing advanced technical analysis regarding the casting process and designs for manufacturability and assembly, creating Process Flow Charts, and performing SOP development and Work Instruction development from New Product inception through launch and full production.

    + Provide sustaining Casting support as needed to resolve day-to-day production issues to ensure continuous product workflow and product completion/delivery. Work closely with Process Engineers for the development, specification, and updates of all Process Flow Charts. Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions with particular focus on the safe operation of all manufacturing equipment and operations

    + Facilitate cross-department collaboration between team members and various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to CAD/CAM, Manufacturing, QA, Process Engineering, Finance, and the JDIW.

    + Provide engineering support for planning, installation, commissioning, training, troubleshooting, and documentation for new equipment and machinery. Utilize lean tools, Six Sigma Knowledge (DMAIC, 8D, Process Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, A-3 Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 6S), Gantt Charts, Microsoft Access, Wrike, Tulip, Bottleneck analysis, Pareto analysis, GAP Analysis, Process Mapping, Visio, Minitab, DAS, JD Edwards, SQL (Data gathering), Data Analysis, and Advanced Excel.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor or Associate of Science in an Engineering Discipline or Demonstrated Experience in Manufacturing Process Improvement.

    + Ability to analyze/solve complex engineering problems using Root Cause Analysis methods

    + Demonstrated Multi-Project Management ability/proficiency

    + Strong communication (English written, verbal, and presentation skills)

    + Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills (specifically Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Access)

    + Proficient in higher-order mathematical skills including statistical analysis

    Preferred:

    + Multilingual, (Spanish)

    + Knowledge of modern jewelry manufacturing techniques

    + Understanding of basic statistical tools: Minitab is preferable

    + Six Sigma Certification

    + Project Management
