Compensation Analyst
Description
We love our talent\! Join our Total Rewards team in Fort Worth, TX\. In this position, you will conduct job evaluations, review market research, administer merit and promotion cycles, manage incentive programs, and guide HR professionals and leaders on compensation principles, practices, and strategies\. This is a hands\-on position ideal for someone with a passion for data, research, and competitive strategy\.
As a compensation professional, you will evaluate jobs and the market to ensure the company offers competitive pay and benefits\. Your responsibilities will include:
* Benchmarking compensation by evaluating and determining the relative value of jobs in relation to the internal and external markets\.
* Classifying and leveling jobs\.
* Collecting and using market intelligence to guide compensation practices\.
* Coordinating efforts with our parent company, Textron, to administer our annual promotion and merit cycle processes\.
* Preparing and presenting compensation data to a variety of audiences\.
* Responding to audits on compensation processes, practices, and data to ensure compliance with government regulations\.
* Participating in system implementations, upgrades, or testing\.
* Providing advice, guidance, and training to HR professionals and leaders on compensation principles, practices, processes, and strategy\.
* Partnering with HR colleagues, Finance, and our corporate and business unit counterparts to develop company\-wide recommendations\.
* Participating in special projects and initiatives\.
* Performing other duties and tasks as assigned\.
* Engaging in ongoing training and development\.
* Occasional travel required to attend training, conferences, and/or system testing\.
* Participating in other special projects and initiatives as needed\.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is required\.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in HR, Finance, or a related field\. **Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience using HR information systems \(e\.g\., PeopleSoft\) and entering and managing personnel data\.
* Prior experience in data analysis, market pricing, and salary survey participation is beneficial\.
* Analytical and research skills to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations\.
* Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively convey compensation information to employees and management\.
* Basic knowledge of compensation practices and trends, job evaluation methodologies, and pay structure design\.
* Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations such as the Fair Labor Standards Act \(FLSA\), Equal Pay Act, and other labor and tax laws, and familiarity with regulatory bodies \(e\.g\., EEO, FLSA, DOL, OFCCP, DCAA\) and associated regulations and guidelines\.
* Familiarity with various types of incentives and benefits programs\.
* Attention to detail for ensuring accuracy of compensation data and compliance with regulations\.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion\.
* Capability to work independently and partner with team members, colleagues, and internal or external stakeholders to deliver results\. Strong collaboration skills\.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines\.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and modeling, and PowerPoint for presentations\.
* Familiarity with and interest in coding, particularly to automate repetitive or mundane tasks\.
