As a Senior Finance Manager for the Rotorcraft Turboprop business within GE Aerospace, you will partner with the operations and project teams to drive execution, accountability, and financial commitments as the cash focal. Responsible for driving performance and profitability, providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Rotorcraft Turboprop Engines P&L.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Develop specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise for Rotorcraft P&L serving as a best practice/go-to Finance Leader.
+ Cash leader for all planning cycles to include budget, strategy, monthly estimates, quarterly forecasting, and weekly QMIs and R&O.
+ Owner of A/R, partnering with the RTP team, operational leaders, and functions to drive forecasting improvement, increased collections, and past due weekly management through standard work and structured problem solving.
+ Continuously improve forecasting model for all balance sheet accounts, driving improved visibility, forecasting accuracy and accountability. Diverse balance sheet activity includes receivables, inventory, payables, progress, contract assets, deferred, pre-production, taxes, customer allowances, P&E.
+ Drive accountability of output forecasts and own analyzing and communicating financial impacts across and upwards, to include variance analysis, progress liquidations deviations, early pay assumptions, future collections tracking, and recurring deliverables.
+ Accurately and compliantly manage month end and quarter close deliverables. Cross-collaborate with RTP finance team, Controllership and FP&A HQ. Black dot owner of daily cash pacing to track cash collections for Final Friday. Responsible for all respective cash closing activities (to include but not limited to Defense Reporting memo, RTP CEO letter, journal entries, balance sheet reviews, miscellaneous deferred schedule reporting.)
+ Track within RTP and report cash KPIs HQ FP&A; present to Rotorcraft CFO, and HQ FP&A as needed. As a critical partner to operations team, focus to help educate and drive cash mindset.
+ Own annual balance sheet reviews for: warranty, customer allowances, deferred, contract engineering. Partner with Operations team to proactively track and adjust reserves throughout the year. Partner with Operations team for Capital Council requests as needed.
+ Proactively serve as a business partner to the RTP Inventory team to analyze and understand product line inventory balance drivers, financial impact to estimates and forecasts, and to enhance future forecasting.
+ Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Will lead small projects as required and present results as needed. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Develop persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field. Manage complex tasks or problems that impact the function - offer solutions to problems and provide.
+ Will define, create and maintain key decision support review tools, including financial dashboards, data populations, and detailed analytical excel-based reporting.
+ Identify opportunities to implement FLIGHT DECK business philosophy where applicable
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
+ 4+ years of relevant finance experience
