    Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Accounting Manager maintains the Systems’ financial records and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. This position is responsible for the following duties:

     

    + Carrying out and directing the conduct of day-to-day accounting functions at SCHHS, including the supervision of accounts payable, cash disbursements, payroll, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, account analyses/reconciliations and paperwork/documentation preparation and maintenance;

    + Directing and coordinating accounting work is supported by a Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable clerk, file clerk, and payroll coordinator,

    + Leading month-end and year-end closing processes including financial statement preparation, quality assurance review and external reporting,

    + Supporting/carrying out and leading special project reporting from time to time,

    + Providing input for staff performance reviews and direct supervision of Accounts Payable clerk, Payroll Coordinator and file clerk.

     

    This position also works in coordination with the Controller and the Senior Financial Analysts to prepare the Systems’ annual operating and capital budget.

     

    Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in Accounting/Finance with minimum of four years of experience, with at least two years of prior experience in a healthcare setting, CPA preferred, advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases.

     

    Success Factors: High attention to detail and accuracy, self-motivation, ability to direct and supervise staff, ability to work collaboratively, strong ability to manage closing cycle/reporting time frames.

     

    Salary Range: 93,574-128,664
