RESEARCH PROJECT MANAGER on a 5-year longitudinal study

FULL-TIME

Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Project title: A longitudinal examination of factors predicting the social networks and mental health services of Black and Latinx Individuals with serious mental illnesses (Co-Principal Investigators: Rohini Pahwa, PhD and Erin Kelly, PhD).

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Direct a 5-year longitudinal research study

+ Implement recruitment plans

+ Screen participants for eligibility

+ Obtain participant consent and schedule assessments

+ Oversee participant compensation, reconcile petty cash and participant compensation logs

+ Refine and implement tracking protocols to maintain high follow-up and retention rates

+ Conduct assessments with participants as needed

+ Help prepare regular reports for the funders and community partners

+ Perform other related activities as required

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

+ Master’s degree or higher in social work, public health, psychology, nursing, or other social/behavioral science disciplines

+ Excellent communicator – demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate, collaborate, and establish and maintain good workingelationships with a diverse group of multi-disciplinary researchers, staff, and partners

+ Experience with research and participant tracking

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Ability to travel within Los Angeles for project activities

+ High level of attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work on a team, and punctuality

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

+ Bilingual in English and Spanish

+ Familiarity with institutional review boards, HIPAA regulations, and clinical research standards. Prior experience working with research protocols

+ Experience with working with adults with serious mental illnesses

+ Experience working with data repositories

+ Experience with quantitative methods

+ Experience with qualitative research methods

+ Experience managing a team and/or supervising staff
