Description
The Principal Consultant – Hybrid Infrastructure Architect is a senior-level role responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid infrastructure solutions across on-premises and Cloud environments. This role will serve as both a technical leader and a trusted advisor to clients, with deep responsibility for architecture, escalation support, and strategic infrastructure planning.
The ideal candidate combines expert-level knowledge in core infrastructure technologies with a consultative, client-focused mindset. They will be expected to lead complex projects, resolve escalated technical issues, and collaborate across internal teams to ensure excellence in service delivery.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, this role will also function as the Team Manager for the Tier 3 project and senior support teams—engaging in complex troubleshooting, acting as the senior authority during escalations, shaping technical standards and platforms, and confidently representing the company in front of clients.
This is a highly visible, strategic role requiring both deep technical acumen and polished communication skills.
Requirements
+ Proven expertise in hybrid infrastructure solutions, including on-premises systems and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
+ Strong background in infrastructure architecture, including networking, identity, security, and disaster recovery.
+ Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure environments for enterprise clients.
+ Ability to own and lead technical escalations and root cause analysis processes.
+ Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
+ Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure Monitor, Microsoft Defender, backup/DR platforms, and infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell).
+ Minimum 7+ years in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture roles, with at least 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
+ Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., Jira Service Management) and monitoring platforms (e.g., N-Able, Auvik, SentinelOne).
Preferred Skills
+ Experience mentoring or managing senior technical staff.
+ Prior consulting experience across multiple client environments.
+ Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cisco, CompTIA, ITIL).
+ Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, or NIST.
+ Background in evaluating and selecting infrastructure platforms and tools for enterprise-scale environments
Where You'll Work
Moser has two offices in Indianapolis, IN, and one in Baltimore, MD. This position will require a hybrid/onsite work schedule out of our downtown Indianapolis office.
Salary
