Summary This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. Responsibilities Performs as an export working on Policy and planning, security, systems analysis, applications software, operating systems, network services, data management, systems administration, and customer support. Develops and administers program management tracking system to ensure all actions necessary to implement changes, upgrades and lifecycles are properly identified, coordinated, and completed on schedule. Serves as an expert advisor to the Voice Systems Division on policy development, coordination, and implementation. Coordinates the development and updating of all Voice and Video systems and infrastructure-related documentation, including but not limited to operating systems, wiring diagrams, warranties, and operational documentation. Manages the Voice and Video operation and maintenance of the Presidential Information Technology Community’s (PITC) which includes Unclassified and Classified networks. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Attention to Detail - Experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards. Customer Service - Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs. Oral Communication - Briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Problem Solving - Identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience overseeing the operation and maintenance of voice and video infrastructure for agency executives and managing technical teams and providing expert-level IT specialist duties such as policy and planning, cybersecurity, systems analysis, and contract management. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum). Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination. This position is subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position.
