    Position Overview:

    Dayton-Granger, Inc. is immediately hiring a reliable and hands-on Mechanical Assembler to join our 1st Shift team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a stable company that's been manufacturing quality parts for over 81 years.

     

    In this role, you'll use tools like drills, rivet guns, and calipers to assemble parts with precision and care. You'll follow detailed work instructions, ensure parts are secure and properly sealed, and take pride in building products that meet high quality standards. If you have mechanical aptitude, experience in an assembly setting, and enjoy working with your hands in a clean, team-oriented environment—this could be a great fit for you.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform various assembly tasks such as drilling, riveting, and bonding structural components.

    + Use pneumatic and handheld tools (e.g., riveting guns) to secure composite parts and structural assemblies.

    + Apply sealants, such as epoxy, to joints and seams; ensure proper curing and surface prep.

    + Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine assembly steps and correct specifications.

    + Trim, sand, deflash, and fill fiberglass components to meet quality and finish standards.

    + Using calipers, gauges, etc to maintain and ensure accuracy and precision

    + Load and unload molds into ovens, presses, or autoclaves.

    + Prepare and label materials according to production log ticket requirements.

    + Maintain tools, molds, fixtures, and equipment in the Composite Assembly area.

    + Follow company workmanship and quality standards throughout all tasks.

    + Support other assigned duties as directed by management.

    + Comply with all company safety policies and guidelines provided by the Facility Engineer and Safety Director.

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + Minimum 2 years of mechanical or structural assembly experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Experience with various rivets, riveting tools, and assembly processes.

    + Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers).

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.

    + Physically capable of lifting and pushing up to 25 lbs.

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

    + Effective communication and teamwork skills in a production environment.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

    Preferred:

    + Composite assembly experience

    + Experience working in the aerospace industry
