Summary This job opportunity is for an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, position description D2324000, within the 177TH MXS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. Its purpose is to inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify software controlled automated and manually controlled test stations, ECM Pods, peripherals, support equipment and associated subsystems Responsibilities As an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-13, you will: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems Maintain, modify, calibrate, and inspect a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment Troubleshoot operational malfunctions and analyze system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams. Recommend methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures Apply technical data and equipment specifications to determine the impact that equipment modifications or substitutions will have upon integrated multi-system operations and various maintenance alignment procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: CAT 3: All New Jersey Air National Guard members Military Grades: A1C/E-3 to TSgt/E-6 Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position. *Military Unit* -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Qualifications General Experience: Must have the following experience(s): Removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components Making adjustments and settings according to established specifications Using hand tools and test equipment Specialized Experience: Must have 18 months of the following experience(s): Installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting Functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification Coordinating the work of other mechanics Scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow Instructing lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines Education There are no education requirements for this vacancy announcement Additional Information Security Clearance Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment.
