    Job Summary

    This position is responsible for supporting senior leadership roles and providing support in detecting early signs of performance decline by providing oversight of site compliance, implementation, and results of site organizational effectiveness programs.

     

    This position will be actively engaged with performance improvement peer group across the fleet to ensure the consistency of fleet learning and improvement programs.

     

    This position will be their site’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas such as Key Performance Indicators, Operating Experience, Benchmarking, Observation programs, Excellence Planning, and assessments.

    Job Description

    Key Accountabilities

    •Promotes the use of performance improvement tools and resources at station.

    •Implements assessment strategies to identify teamwork, leadership, and organizational behavior gaps

    •Serves as Site APOC, coordinating site preparation activities, data requests, and logistics for external evaluations and assessments. (INPO, NSRB, Corporate, etc.)

    •Monitors site use of the Corrective Action Program for quality and compliance.

    •Analyzes site observation program results and provide oversight of leadership and teamwork gaps and behavioral shortfalls.

    •Provides oversight of site and functional area IPA/Excellence Plans to ensure high quality analysis and effective gap closure actions.

    •Performs facilitation of site OR/PI meetings such as MRB and CARB.

    •Participates in industry working groups as needed.

    •Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with fleet counterparts to improve OR Programs and to achieve fleet wide excellence in performance.

    •Works closely with Fleet PI to ensure the ensure timely submittal of site IRIS reporting requirements and Industry Experience Reports response.

    Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

    •8+ years experience in a nuclear functional area or a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years in a nuclear functional area

    •Superior analytical and technology skills

    •Excellent written and verbal communication and time management capabilities

    •Broad technical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs, and procedures

    •Must demonstrate courage to intervene and challenge leaders when performance does not meet standards or desired outcomes are not being achieved

    Key Metrics

    •Fosters values of preventing, detecting, and correcting gaps in individual and leadership behaviors

    •Corrective Action Program compliance with 10CFR50 Appendix B

    •Quality of station cause analysis products and performance improvement initiatives

    •Applicable industry and department performance metrics
