    Description

    SAIC is seeking an **AWS Cloud Systems Engineer** for our North Charleston, SC location.

    Responsibilities:

    + Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, etc.) to meet business requirements.

    + Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation.

    + Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using CI/CD pipelines.

    + Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies.

    + Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data.

    + Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS services and industry best practices.

    + Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system availability and address incidents.

    + Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    + Require at least one: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

    + Strong understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.).

    + Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

    + Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.

    + Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline.

    + Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.

    + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    + 3+ years of experience in cloud-based system design, with a strong focus on security.

    + Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret

    Desired:

    + Experience moving systems from on-premise environments to cloud-based hosting.

    + AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).

    + Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

    + Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch.

    + Experience with Windows and Linux based Operating Systems

    + Database experience (Oracle, Microsoft SQL, etc.)

    + Knowledge of DoD STIGs
