Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Reporting Analyst to join our team at Energizer. This role is responsible for fixed asset-related accounting processes and reporting at one of the world’s largest manufacturers of primary batteries and portable lighting products. This position will also support internal and external financial reporting requirements, including assisting in the preparation of external SEC filings.
This position requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
This unique role will have a combination of fixed asset accounting and financial reporting related responsibilities.
Fixed asset management:
+ Prepare and analyze fixed asset-related reporting
+ Responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of the Company’s fixed assets, leases and IT related assets
+ Record asset acquisitions and manage asset disposals
+ Execution and monitoring of monthly fixed asset depreciation runs in SAP
+ Complete fixed asset closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
+ Support continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the Company’s fixed asset-related processes
Financial reporting responsibilities:
+ Assist with quarterly external SEC reporting utilizing the Wdesk platform
+ Contribute to financial and government reporting processes
+ Assist with the annual review of global accounting policies & procedures
+ Support continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the Company’s financial reporting
Specific Accountabilities
+ Record and monitor depreciation expense for fixed assets within SAP, specifically for the Company’s Corporate and North America assets.
+ Ensure accurate depreciation calculations and assignment of asset useful lives.
+ Monitor capital project spending, cost classifications, and timely capitalization of new assets.
+ Process asset disposals, including the maintenance of proper documentation and accounting treatment for retired or sold assets.
+ Preparation and analysis of monthly fixed asset roll-forwards, variance analyses, and reconciliation information, including coordination with tax, internal audit, and external audit.
+ Maintain the Company’s centralized lease accounting system, including ensuring appropriate lease classifications and consistent application of lease accounting policies across the Company.
+ Assist in the compilation of external financial reports, including quarterly 10-Q/Ks and government surveys.
+ Assist in meeting external reporting requirements for SEC-mandated XBRL tagging.
+ Assist in ad hoc reporting for management.
+ Assist in maintenance of Energizer Financial Policies & Procedures manuals.
What we are looking for
+ Bachelor’s Degree (4-year undergraduate) in Accounting required.
+ 2 to 3 years of accounting, finance, or auditing experience.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
+ Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Highly motivated to embrace change and process improvements.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to prepare quality work under fast, high-pressure situations.
+ Self-starter who works well in a team environment and is willing to learn.
+ Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
+ Fixed asset or corporate accounting experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of SEC reporting and/or auditing experience preferred.
+ SAP, SAP Central Finance and/or SAP Group Reporting experience preferred.

Total Rewards Package
The salary range for this position is USD $66,000.00/Yr. - USD $83,000.00/Yr.
Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
