Summary:
+ Provides continuous and comprehensive services necessary for optimal mental health, prevention and treatment of psychiatric disorders and health maintenance. This includes medication management and administration of psychotherapy for anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment disorders, grief, insomnia and other conditions. Also performs psychiatric evaluations for bariatric surgery and weight management patients. Works collaboratively with physicians and other advanced practice providers in the Princeton Medicine Physicians network.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide direct and indirect care to Princeton Medicine Physicians patients in assigned locations.Review patient history with the patient and perform a thorough physical examination to determine a differential diagnosis and plan for treatment.Document significant findings as related to the patient's chief complaints and formalize the treatment plan.Maintain a customer- oriented approach to meeting patient needs in an expedient manner, involving the family in the plan of care as appropriate.Complete visit notes, ensuring thorough documentation, in a timely manner.Assess, diagnose and treat individuals or families with psychiatric disorders and identify risk factors for such disorders.Facilitate problem resolution regarding medical issues.Consult with supervising physician on an as-needed basis.Support customer service and performance improvement goals of the practice; collaborate with caregivers/staff, within and outside the practice, to enhance patient care.Develop a diagnosis and plan of care, and implement and evaluate it for effectiveness.Maintain standards of confidentiality.Maintain all applicable New Jersey State and federal licenses and certifications.Perform work accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner, in accordance with departmental and system standards. Identify problems and address them appropriately.Maintain a collaborative approach and positive relationships with others. Support departmental and system initiatives and change efforts.Age-Specific Knowledge & Skills: Possess and maintain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet patients’ physical, psychological and social needs.Utilize teaching learning theory with patients and their families to influence patient outcomes.Identify system specific problems, which require evaluation and/or change; work with appropriate staff to resolve these issues by participating in performance improvement processes.Participate in departmental and system compliance activities as related to established standards. Complete mandatory training and education in a timely manner.Travel to practice locations as needed.Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ Advanced Nurse Practice Degree from an accredited nursing school and all of the education required to have achieved such a degreeClinical expertise in Medication Management, Individual Psychotherapy, Group Psychotherapy, Smoking Cessation, Bariatric Pre and Post Psychiatric Evaluation, Medical Weight Management EvaluationSupervisory experience preferred.

Salary Range:
$113,399.52 - $180,781.54/Annually based on 40 hours per week
