Summary:

The Staff Accountant is directly involved in the month end close, account reconciliations, and performing analysis where needed. This position utilizes hands-on accounting experience and a basic understanding of US GAAP to perform general accounting activities and analysis.

Essential Duties:

+ Responsible for various journal entries for month end close

+ Maintains various account reconciliations and/or bank reconciliations

+ May specialize in one or more functional accounting areas such as payroll, fixed assets, or daily cash

+ Complete various analyses and reporting as required, such as profitability, ROI, and trend analysis

+ Assist, prepare, process, record, and/or review revenue, expenses, invoices, and other accounting documents

+ Assist with preparing and reviewing financial statements, including researching variances

+ Assist with the annual budget as needed

+ Assist with annual audit as needed

+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field

+ A minimum of two years of experience in the accounting field
