    Description

    **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Journeyman Sprinkler Fitters** for projects located in **Rochester, NY** . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is **$23-28/hour** based on experience and skill level.     Job Scope:

    + Install, test, repair, and perform maintenance on fire sprinkler systems

    + Cutting and fitting pipes

    + Installing plumbing fixtures, fixing and replacing defective and outdated sprinklers

    + Soldering and welding pipes, tubes and fittings as needed

    + Reviewing project drawings, assembling and securing pipes and related equipment by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints, selecting pipe sizes and materials

    + Installing valves and gauges

    + Maintaining or replacing pipes and valves that supply water to fire sprinklers

    Requirements

    + Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter or Apprentice with good experience

    + Ability to learn and master each aspect of fire sprinkler systems before advancing

    + Experience with dry systems is highly desirable

    + Ability to review project drawings and follow specifications

    + Skills in welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints

    + Capable of selecting appropriate pipe sizes, types, and materials

    + Ability to install valves, gauges, and related equipment
