    Are you an experienced Lead Engineering Technician with a passion for hands-on, cutting-edge work? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoy taking on a variety of technical challenges? If so, PDS Tech Commercial wants you to join our team as a Lead Engineering Technician, where you’ll play a key role in supporting analytical lab activities within the Aerospace sector.

     

    In this role, you will be hands-on with a wide range of analytical equipment, working directly with materials testing, failure analysis, and engineering evaluations. This is your chance to bring your expertise to the forefront of aerospace innovation, working with a diverse team to ensure the highest level of quality in materials testing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Operate a variety of analytical instruments to support production material testing and engineering evaluations

    + Perform polymer and chemistry testing, including DSC, TGA, TMA, IC, GC/MS, ICP, and more

    + Conduct failure analysis and evaluations, providing critical data to engineering teams

    + Support cross-functional teams, including XRF, Metals, Fluids, and other laboratory areas as needed

    + Provide leadership and training to other technicians, guiding them in day-to-day lab operations

    + Schedule and prioritize tasks, ensuring timely completion with minimal oversight

    + Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized laboratory environment

    + Support engineering roles as needed to contribute to business goals

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED required

    + Minimum 5 years of hands-on lab experience in polymer testing (e.g., DSC, TGA, TMA) or analytical chemistry (e.g., IC, GC/MS, ICP)

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment

    Desired Qualifications:

    + AA or higher degree in a relevant field

    + Experience with aerospace materials and processes

    + Familiarity with other laboratory techniques such as metallography, FTIR, SEM, etc.

    + Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

    This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).     **Pay Details:** $33.00 per hour
