The Data Solutions Center of Excellence (COE) is a business segment of MISTRAS focused on providing software technology, implementation services and data analytics to a diverse group of customers operating globally. There are multiple divisions within the business segment with each focusing on a particular business or service line. The COE offers standalone software products and technical services to customers as well as complementing traditional MISTRAS inspection services with business intelligence capabilities.
The Sr. Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in technology leadership and innovation at MISTRAS, facilitating the advancement of ideas into tangible software products and systems. This role requires collaboration with business SMEs, product owners, and leadership to understand and influence business requirements, alongside leading business discussions and technical strategy. The incumbent will be responsible for evaluating product and portfolio needs, creating conceptual and logical architectural designs, providing technical guidance in implementing those designs, and plays a hands-on role in initial R&D.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
+ Lead and oversee the entire process of defining and designing application components and integrations, ensuring all solutions align with the business objectives, enterprise architecture, and performance goals.
+ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, product managers and owners, subject matter experts, software engineers, business analysts, and enterprise architects.
+ Collaborate with the business and team members to understand functional and technical requirements.
+ Lead the technical evaluation of new solutions to ensure alignment with existing frameworks and standards defined across the organization.
+ Champion and guide the extended team to adopt and implement leading-edge design and architect practices.
+ Provide technical expertise in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of next-generation technical initiatives, while also offering guidance as complex technology issues arise.
+ Implementing technical solutions using coding and design principles, using various languages and technologies (C#, .Net Core, SQL, JavaScript/React, etc.).
+ Identifying and managing risks to delivery of the platform including contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
+ Proactively supporting issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service.
+ Creates and supports R&D activities including conceptual designs, prototypes, and proof of concepts.
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Knowledge of proper software product architectural patterns.
+ Strong understanding and usage of agile development methodologies.
+ Strong voice of customer mindset.
+ Architectural knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms, web services and APIs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
+ 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer science or software engineering, or equivalent education/training/experience.
+ 8+ years of proven solution architecture experience.
+ Experience with cloud-based software solutions and SaaS models.
+ Proven experience in designing complex hardware and software solutions for large-scale IT systems.
+ Expertise in collaborating, communication, and presenting with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact business solutions.
+ Extensive knowledge of modern architectural patterns, frameworks, and industry best practices.
+ Strong knowledge of MS Azure.
