    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    + Develop and execute comprehensive business transformation strategies that align with the organization's goals to participate in Navy programs.

    + Analyze existing quality processes, identify areas for changes for Navy requirements.

    + Lead the transformation initiatives of the six business systems to comply with naval guidelines.

    + Plan and oversee the execution of transformation projects, including setting goals, defining project scopes, allocating resources, and managing timelines.

    + Identify potential risks and obstacles to transformation success, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt plans as needed.

    + Work closely with various departments and teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the transformation process.

    + Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance benchmarks to track the impact of transformation initiatives.

    + Develop training programs to upskill employees and ensure they are equipped to adapt to new processes and technologies.

    + Manage the budget allocated for transformation initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation.

    + Maintain detailed records, reports, and documentation related to transformation projects and progress.

    + Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing changes accordingly.

    + Perform other related duties as required and assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY

    There are no direct reports at this time but there could be in the future.

    EDUCATION AND EXPEREIENCE

    + Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, or related field

    + Minimum 10 – 15 years’ experience in a dedicated management role with a Navy contract shipyard

    + Transformation Leader experience in shipbuilding, however, not required if the applicant has manufacturing or heavy construction experience

    + Project management experience is a must

    + Lean/Six Sigma Experience is a plus

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Environmental exposures are like those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes, and smoke. Work may be executed indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
