The Accounting Manager will be responsible for analyzing and verifying financial information, performing account reconciliations for certain general ledger accounts, and performing other month-end close activities, primarily for the Corporate entity. The Individual will be working in a fast-paced environment while building relationships within the corporate accounting team, the extended accounting team at operating sites, and throughout the rest of the organization (e.g. FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, etc.).

Responsibilities

+ Assume responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting questions and issues.

+ Perform monthly closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, supporting consolidation process, and financial reporting.

+ Act as a business partner to other departments to obtain and convey information, including HR/Payroll/Benefits, and FP&A.

+ Support and serve as backup to team members for the monthly close of accounts receivable, accounts payable & fixed assets, preparation of payroll files for GL upload and other accounting processes as needed.

+ Key contributor in continuous improvement projects. Responsible for actively identifying areas of improvement and recommending action plans.

+ Mentor senior and staff accountants

+ Assist with technical accounting assessments under US GAAP as needed.

+ Other compliance and statutory reporting as required

Qualifications

+ Accountant with 5+ years of relevant experience, public accounting experience preferred

+ CPA, strongly preferred.

+ Ability to independently trouble-shoot issues in monthly closing processes and identify and implement controls.

+ High level of organizational skills

+ Ability to efficiently manage tasks and time.

+ Strong Excel skills.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Detail-oriented - able to review and proofread financial report

Salary range: $123,000 - $142,000
