RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY:
• With guidance from Preceptor, Trainee will:
o Perform a variety of special radiologic and interventional procedures.
o Provide patient care during procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Seeing. Hearing. Speaking. Standing. Finger dexterity.
B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING
• Infrequent: Lift floor to waist between 6-10 lbs.
• Occasional: Lift waist to shoulder between 0-5 lbs.
• Frequent: Lift waist to overhead between 0-5 lbs. Carry between 6-10 lbs. Push and Pull between 51+ lbs.
• Constant: N/A
C. NON-MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING
• Infrequent: Sit. Crawl.
• Occasional: Walk. Stoop/Bend. Kneel. Twist. Squat. Climb: Stairs/Ladder.
• Frequent: Stand. Walk. Reach: shoulder level. Reach: above head. Gripping.
• Constant: Stand.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Subjected to noise/vibration from radiographic equipment noise.
• Exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, radiation, odors and skin irritants.
• Work environment is fast paced, frequently stressful; works on multiple tasks and priorities at the same time and requires critical decision-making.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• No diploma and/or degree requirement.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Current ACLS certification. If not ACLS certified, ACLS certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of entrance into the position.
• Current BLS certification.
C. EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in diagnostic procedures preferred.
