    Position Summary : The Senior Developer will focus primarily on the development and integration of applications in the Bank’s environment with a primary focus on project related work and a secondary focus on enhancement work based on business prioritization and criticality. The candidate performs analysis, programming, support and implementation of application software and makes sound technical decisions in a proactive, self-directed manner that conforms to all standards and polices at the Bank. Responsibilities include but are not limited to application development, peer code reviews, maintaining and updating programming standards for application scalability, performance, and maintainability. The incumbent must possess and demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with Bank staff and outside contacts (consultants and vendors) to deliver a quality product within the necessary time agreed upon. The Senior Developer must be capable of independently researching, analyzing, and creating effective solutions to problems. This role will have a hybrid work schedule in our Boston office in accordance with the Bank’s Hybrid Work Program. More time will be expected in the office to support onboarding initially, up to 90 days.

     

    Duties: Develop and integrate applications in the Bank’s financial software environment. Perform project related work and enhancement work based on business prioritization and criticality. Perform analysis, programming, support and implementation of application software. Collaborate with the architecture group to create technical specifications for coding and supporting the Bank’s software programs and interfaces. Lead technical decision making in a proactive, self-directed manner in conformance of the standards and polices at the Bank. Responsible for application development, peer code reviews, maintaining and updating programming standards for application scalability, performance, and maintainability. Interact and liaise with internal and external contacts (consultants and vendors) to deliver quality product within the service level timelines.

     

    Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus four (4) years of experience as a software developer or related occupation designing, implementing, and administering enterprise financial applications. Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Developing features to optimize the efficiency and functionality of commercial domains and software platforms, including Summit or Loan IQ; Managing the complete loan lifecycle and accounting from origination through servicing, including trading and risk management; Developing Windows and web applications using Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET and C# .NET frameworks, and performing API development (RESTful), adhering to architectural standards and utilizing .NET concepts such as Collections, Threading, Generics, and Garbage Collection; Utilizing MS SQL Server and PL/SQL for database management, writing complex queries, developing stored procedures, functions, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports; and Performing automated deployments in Azure DevOps (CI/CD) and managing code with various version control systems integrated into Visual Studio within an Agile/Scrum environment.
