Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Patient Account Coordinator to work for a local company. The role focuses on insurance and billing services, delivering excellent customer service, and providing clerical and administrative support to the office.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Post daily charges and payments to patient accounts

+ Assist with insurance claim submissions, including prior authorizations

+ Manage patient billing inquiries and provide financial consultations

+ Ensure CDT and ICD-10 coding competency

+ Generate and manage monthly patient statements

+ Implement billing and collection policies

+ Handle daily deposits and submit to the bank

+ Maintain confidentiality in all patient and office matters

+ Assist with scheduling, chart management, and correspondence

+ Support quality assurance and improvement initiatives

Requirements:

+ Experience with insurance billing (dental and medical)

+ Strong accounting knowledge, with QuickBooks experience preferred

+ Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

+ Detail-oriented with good financial management skills

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education & Experience:

+ High school diploma required; post-graduate education preferred

+ Minimum of 1-year experience in billing/collections within the medical/dental field
