    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Staff Engineer** to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex technical solutions across our platform. As a Staff Engineer, you will be a key technical leader, working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams to solve challenging engineering problems and guide architectural decisions that support long-term scalability and maintainability.

    In Walmart Global Tech, Global Integrated Fulfilment(GIF) is a premier store fulfilment one-stop solution to help Walmart’s stores fulfil all their store operations including picking, staging, dispensing etc for an order.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the architecture and design of scalable, high-performance systems and services.

    + Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming.

    + Drive technical excellence across the engineering organization.

    + Collaborate with product and design teams to define and deliver product features that meet user needs.

    + Advocate for engineering best practices including testing, observability, CI/CD, and documentation.

    + Identify and solve bottlenecks in system performance and team workflows.

    + Participate in long-term planning, technology selection, and strategic initiatives.

    + Influence and lead cross-team engineering initiatives and projects.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + An Engineering Bachelor or equivalent / above degree in Computer Science.

    + 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale applications or systems.

    + Strong understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving

    + Expertise in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript.

    + Exposure to SQL/NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, Elastic, Cosmos and SQL server etc.

    + Proven experience designing distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP), and microservices.

    + Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and architecture best practices.

    + Strong communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers and working across teams.

    + Ability to adapt to new technologies in short timeframe

    Technical Skills:

    Core Skills : JAVA,J2EE

     

    DataBase: SQL Database, cosmos - Must have

     

    Messaging and communication: Kafka/RESTful -

     

    App monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace/Appdynamics

     

    Cloud Technologies: MS Azure, GCP and Open Stack
